All screenings take place at the Bellingen Memorial Hall, 32 Hyde Street, Bellingen NSW 2454.

The Memorial Hall screens films?

You bet!

In fact, cinema is in the Memorial Hall’s DNA – the building was funded, 100 years ago, from the proceeds of running an outdoor picture house and today, following an $9M upgrade, your local community hall is equipped to present films in modern comfort, with awesome sound.

Who is behind Bellingen Film Lovers and how is it funded?

Bellingen Film Lovers is produced by Bellingen Shire Council as part of the Memorial Hall in-house programme. The film selections are co-curated by Bellingen Video. Learn more about the legacy of a regional Australian video rental store in the award-winning short film Return Chute.

Through the curated programme, which includes signature annual events such as Beyond Jazz Weekender, Council strives to engage and entertain local and visiting audiences by presenting innovative and diverse arts performances.

Council’s in-house promoted events and festivals, held at the Memorial Hall, operate on the same principals as community and commercial events, ie. they are funded by revenue from ticket and hospitality sales. We also apply for grants and engage in sponsorship with local businesses to support specific areas of arts development, event production and promotion.

We employ local contractors in all areas of event production including performers, audio/visual technicians, site crew, décor, hospitality and box office staff. Our Friends of Memorial Hall team of volunteers provide ticket scanning and ushering services (this service is also offered to third party venue hirers).

How much are tickets?

Ticket prices range from $10 - $15 to keep your cinema visit affordable for families and film-fanatics alike.

Purchasing a ticket in advance online helps us plan for your visit (staffing, bar supplies, choc tops etc). You can also pay on the door. We accept cash or card payments.

Is there parking at the venue?
